Horizontal directional drilling.
Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) is widely used for below-ground pipeline and utility installations that require a trenchless solution. It is a low disturbance approach for accurately and efficiently crossing roads, railways, rivers, bays and a variety of other obstacles with minimal environmental impact. HDD is used in situations that allow for an angled installation, and requires adequate space to set up a drill pad at the rig site.

HDPE pipe installation.
HDPE butt welding put simply is the process of joining two pieces of HDPE pipe together to create a fusion weld. It works by first by inserting the two ends of the HDPE pipe into the butt fusion welding machine. A facer or facing machine is used to trim and cut the end of the pipe to create both a flat surface and to remove oxidized polyurethane.
Once completed the facer is removed and an electric heating plate is lowered between the two ends of the HDPE in the buttwelding machine. The anti-stick PTFE coated heating plate is used to simultaneously heat up and melt the two pipes forming a small bead at each end. Once the two pipes are suitably hot and melted, the hot plate is removed and the two ends are thrust together using the hydraulic rams and clamps on the buttwelding machine forming a bond. As the pipe cools the two pieces join together in permanent bond.
Pipe Bursting.
Pipe bursting is a trenchless sewer repair method that involves breaking and expanding the existing buried sewer line while simultaneously replacing it with new high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes.
Pipe bursting does not require the use of added chemicals or other contaminants. Coupled with the long lifespan of the environmentally-safe HDPE pipe, pipe bursting is considered to be a very sustainable sewer replacement method.

Pipe jacking is a commonly used trenchless construction method that involves pushing specially designed pipe with hydraulic jacks immediately behind a tunneling machine as it advances the tunnel. typically made of reinforced concrete or steel, this method can be used with different types of pipes, as long as it’s designed specifically for jacking, and can be used for small and large diameters of pipe. The efficiency of jacking pipe installation allows for faster project completion. Reduced downtime and quicker implementation make it an attractive choice for infrastructure development.

Auger boring.
Auger-boring is a common, two-pass method for installing steel casing as a liner to accommodate a new underground utility (carrier) pipe. The casing diameter can be sized to accommodate any type of service pipe specified by the project's requirements.
Outside plant cabling, whether copper or fiber, is generally installed as aerial cable between poles, in an underground conduit system, or by direct burial.
